The Research On The Functions And The Trend Of Development Of The United Front At The New Stage

With the viewpoints and methods of the dialectical materialism and the historical materialism, through integrating theory with practice, the functions and the trend of development of the united front at the new stage are analyzed in this paper when constructing the well-off society comprehensively is coming. Firstly, the fundamental theories about the new stage of constructing the well-off society comprehensively and the united front are elucidated. During this process, the forming, the scientific meaning and the definitions of the new stage of constructing the well-off society comprehensively are analyzed as well as the distinct characters of the united front at the new stage. Secondly, the functions of the united front at the new stage are studied deeply. The positive influences on the construction of the socialism material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization which have been brought by the united front are analyzed. The strong support to construct socialism harmonious society from the united front is also expatiated. Thirdly, the trend of development and the causes of the united front at the new stage are studied. The united front is presenting some kinds of trend of development under the new historical situations. The roles it played became more important, the internal structure became more reasonable, the sphere of work was enlarged and the social functions of it became more perfect. Several revelations have been obtained on these bases. Firstly, the tasks of the united front which serve the development in order to realize the magnificent aims of constructing the well-off society comprehensively are more onerous. Secondly, the responsibility to add new strength to the society is heavier. Thirdly, the innovation of the theory and the mechanism is needed exigently. Doing this work well is not only the requirement of promoting the comprehensive construction of the well-off society but also the demand of the construction and development of the united front of the whole party. Regarding the important thoughts of 'three presents' as guidance, on the basis of inheriting the historical tradition, itself characters and the political predominance of the united front, the new things and the new problems which are coming all the time should be studied, the new trend should be grasped actively, the new policies should be sought aggressively. The development of the united front should be accommodated with the progress of the age and the society, which could present the advantages of uniting the minds of men and agglomerating the power better. Thus could mobilize the enthusiasm andcreativity of the public and then let the united front work better for the construction of the well-off society comprehensively.
