The Influence Of The Party's Five General Lines On Chinese Social Productivity

The over-eighty-year history of the Communist Party of China (the CPC for short) is a history of rough struggles as well as a history of resplendent achievements, a history the Chinese glory in and treasure up in their minds. Since its establishment, the CPC has successively enacted five general guidelines, each being the natural result of respective historical stage of development, and each, in turn, providing the basis for the party's formulation of concrete policies and principles. Consequently, it cannot be a scientific and practical attitude to discuss the frustrations and achievements of the party, and the development of the Chinese society, while ignoring the party's general guideline. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate the impact on China's productive force of the party's general guideline at different stage of history.This paper consists of three parts. The first part is a comprehensive analysis of the reason and process of each general guideline's formulation; the second part attempts to pass an objective evaluation of the success of each general guideline, with its effect on China's productive force as the only test; the third part comes to a natural conclusion that the CPC deserves to be a great party, a party that can all along represent the developing demand of China's advanced productive force.History should be taken as a mirror for the CPC's leadership. Only the reality of the productive force can be taken as the starting point in formulating the party's general guideline. This has been adequately demonstrated by the achievements accomplished since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy. This paper argues strongly that only under the leadership of the CPC, and only by adhering to its correct guideline, can China stand among the world powers in the near future.
