After it's born, the pledge of intellectual property has been developed so rapidly. Being one kind of special collateral right, the pledge of intellectual property has the common characters of pledge on one hand, has the invisible object, no transferable object and some special characters. Therefore, using intellectual property to settle pledge, we can get such advantages like resourceful, convenient, and powerful. Since there are no concrete regulations about this rule in various legal systems, we can get not so much practicing power in reality. With the economic growth, the development of intellectual property is booming. We should explore more deeply in this area so that we can make the best use of its potential value.This thesis including three chapters as following:The Chapter One mainly concerns the object of the pledge of intellectual property. The pledge of intellectual property makes the property of the intellectual right of the owner as the object. Since its special character, the pledge of intellectual property has its own characters. The said thesis made a thorough analysis of the limits of the object of the pledge of intellectual property, by doing which the author tries to figure out the shortcomings of the existing law and try to polish it.Firstly, the present law in our country only regulates the exclusive using right of trade make, the copy right and the property right can be settle pledge, without concrete description.
