The Tamil question in Sri Lanka is one of the typical cases of racial issue among the world with regard to the origin, evolution and the status quo. However, under the circumstances of globalization, the ethnic issue in one country is beyond the control of this very state and is connected with many international factors because globalization has become an important level for the regional interests or global interests of some countries. This dissertation mainly adopts the method of case study while it employs also the integration of deduction and induction, and of theoretical analysis and practical examination partly.This dissertation analyzes the origin, development of the Tamil question and the difficulty of solving it from the perspective of its domestic and international concerns. It falls into six chapters.The introduction briefly explains the academic value of this subject, studies on this subject at present, methods to be employed in this dissertation, theoretical and practical significance of this study and the basic structure of this dissertation.Chapter one introduces the historical relevance of the origin of the racial issue in Sri Lanka, which includes the components of ethnics in Sri Lanka and the profound impact of colonization.Chapter two analyzes the domestic cause of the origin of the ethnic issue in...
