The problem of state-owned assets loss is not a newly proposed subject in our country. Lastly the paper analyzes the present condition of the state-owned assets management, compares the different legal mechanism of it in different countries and discusses the principles and orientations that should be followed, trying to suggest several legal countermeasures and precautions against the loss.The state-owned assets are the important material basis of our national economy and the modern development. It has an important significance to improve the management of the state-owned enterprises, not only to play the part of and realize the leading role, the controllable influential abilities of the public ownership, but also to perfect the basic economic system in which the public ownership is its main body and different kinds of ownerships can develop together. So, in this way, the studies on the problem of the state-owned assets loss will be a new subject at any time.
