On The Combat And Precautions Against Evil Cult

Nowadays, evil cult becomes a public danger in international society and draws extensive concern in all circles of the world. The growth and spread of evil cult and all the counter social, counter human and counter rational actions are severe problems affect social stability. In the end of last century, crimes committed by evil cults represented by Falun Gong were increasingly rampant. And huge harm and loss was brought about to our people and our country. Studies on the crimes committed by evil cults are heated issue in law and sociology, and draw highly emphasis and extensive concern in the world. At present, the confirmations of evil cult in the world are divergently different. In addition, due to the special characteristics of the crimes committed by evil cult, the combat against evil cult cannot only rely on legal measures. Studies are needed for the characteristics and harm of evil cult. Therefore we should stress on the study of evil cult and its organization from the points of views of criminology and sociology and other points of views to deal with evil cult comprehensively. With the reinforcement of legal combat, measures for precautions should be presented from many points of views.This thesis is a study from the points of views of criminology and sociology. The thesis is divided into five parts: the concept and characteristics of evil cult, present situation and harm of evil cult, anti-evil cult measures in the world, issues on the legal application of the punishment of evil cult in our country and the precautions against evil cult.The author explains two issues in part one. The first one is the concept of evil cult. Views are different towards evil cult, and some western countries do not admit the saying of evil cult, but some countries and scholars defined evil cult from different angles.
