With new science and technology application in the field of navigation, the improvement of efficiency of shipping sail speed and quay loading and unloading, especially in short distance transportation, the traditional bill of lading can't adapt to such swift change to circulate the course. Among actual business, there are various forms of delivery of goods without original bill of lading. This way of doing things really played an active role in circulating goods and raised the efficiency in practice, but strengthened the carrier's responsibility risk at the same time. To have delivery of goods without original bill of lading case increase current situation day by day among our country judicial practice in recent years, this thesis proceed with legal nature of the bill of lading, and analyses legal liability for delivery of goods without original bill of lading, only borrow this cause carrier and his between agent and attention of issue this, and has put forward some legal approaches, hope to offer solutions to choose for the thing that the holder of the B/L protects its rights and interests.This thesis is composed of three chapters:In chapter one, the author try to analyze the concept of delivery of goods without original bill of lading. Then, the author addresses the manifestation of this delivery and makes a specific explanation on the generalization on the situation of exemption of this delivery.In chapter two, the author proceed with legal nature of the bill of lading, and analyses legal liability for delivery of goods without original bill of lading, only borrow this cause people and attention of issue this.In chapter three, the author particular analyses some legal approaches of delivery of goods without original bill of lading, including seaway bill and electronic B/L in practice and their relevant legal issues. Then the author points out that in order to keep pace with the time the electronic B/L should be used, relevant laws be perfected, to meet the increasing demands of the marine freight transportation in the international trade.
