Contemporary Undergraduates' View On Love And Marriage, And Its Enfluential Factors

The present study selectes 400 undergraduates randomly,and investigates and analyzes undergraduates'view on love,marriage and sex and enfluential factors based on data collected from questionnaires.The study results show that:1.Undergraduates'main love motivation are"finding life partners","feelings of loneliness and the search for sustenance"and"proving their value and charm".When choosing a lover undergraduates'major cosideration are"temperament character","development potential"and"appearance". undergraduates'main love way is"finding by oneself". Most students tend toward eternity of love, and think study is more important.There are few students always tend to marry with current lover. When there is conflict between love and wok, most students choose"to work,and to sustain love".Most students exercise caution and prudence in premarital sex and hold a rational view on breakups in romance. Different gender, different year, different personality types of students have significant differences in some aspects of love. Boys'love motivation and consideration about lover choosing are different from girls'. Remarkable difference exists between different gender students and among different grade students on the intimate level when loving. Remarkable difference exists among different grade students and between different personality students on the love ways.2. Undergraduates'main marriage motivation are"true love"and"to set up a family". The top three criteria used by undergraduates for spouse selection are"character","ability"and"love". Most students show"considering marriage after economic independence","working for a few years after graduation,then get married after a certain level of economic base", and intend to"loan to buy a house". Undergraduates'main ideal family model is"core family". Both boys and girls think both family and career are important. More students intend to"travel marriage",and their attitude toward divorce is open. Considering undergraduates get married in school, most students are in favor of this policy, but they will not get married in school. Different gender, different year, different personality types of students have significant differences in some aspects of marriage. Boys'marriage motivation and criteria for spouse selection are different from girls'. Remarkable difference exists between different gender students and among different grade students on the time to marriage, solution to the housing problems of marriage and the relationship between career and family. Introverted students more intend to organize a simple wedding, and extroverted students more intend to organize a grand wedding.3.Undergraduates'attitude about sex is more open. More than half of the students are in favor of premarital sex, and indicate a greater tolerance for the lovers or spouses previous sexual experience. Boys'view on sex is significantly different from girls'. Boys'attitude to sex is more open. With the increasing grade , the students gradually open attitudes to sex.
