Zhang zhuo of Tang dynasty wrote a book, the name of which called Long Jin Feng Sui Pan,a collection of the verdicts of judgment in Tang Dynasty. This is a book of high value. The language in this book is beautiful and draws heavily from many authoritative works. Because it is difficult for people to understand this book, few people spend time doing research on it. My supervisor professor Huo Cunfu wrote two papers on this book. These two papers are very influential and successful, which is closely related to his broad historical knowledge and deep law theories. The paper aims at finding the correspondence between Long Jin Feng Sui Pan and the Law of Tang Dynasty. By analyzing the verdicts, the conditions of law system and society could be clearly seen.We should introduce the property of Long Jin Feng Sui Pan. This is very important because its property can decide the study perspectives and methods. First, the style of the verdicts are very luxurious; second, the verdicts are supposed in terms of the legal effect. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part is the focus of this paper. First, a table should be made about the correspondence between Long Jin Feng Sui Pan and the Law of Tang Dynasty. Second, the verdicts are divided into three types according to certain standard: the first type is that the verdicts fit the law rules totally; the second type is that the judge thinks the criminal should take legal responsibility but requires the investigation on the truth; the third type is that the verdicts don't fit the law rules totally. The second part talks about the value of Long Jin Feng Sui Pan. The value includes three aspects: first the verdicts reflected the social conditions of the earlier Tang Dynasty; second they reflected the crimes committed by those officials of Tang Dynasty; third they reflected the conditions of foreign relationships of Tang Dynasty. The third part makes a comparative study between Long Jin Feng Sui Pan and Book of digging out from Dunhuang Turpan. The study results include two aspects: the first aspect lies in the similarities and the second the differences.
