The mass basis of party means the basic troops who play a leading role in improving the social development and historical progress in the long-term economic and political activities. Class foundation and mass basis of party are mutual complement and interdependence; they decide a Marxist political party's leadership to the revolution and the construction business position together. Putting the enhancement of party's class foundation and the expanding of party's mass basis closely together has manifested the Marxism party's advanced class nature and the widespread mass unification. A party should strengthen the class foundation and widen mass basis continuously according to the demand of situation, then it will become stronger.The CPC struggle for Chinese nation's independence prosperously and powerfully in long time, which has carried on the difficult exploration to own class foundation and the mass basis, has obtained the rich experience, and also has the profound lesson. Our party's class foundation and mass basis also have great change. Looked from the class foundation that, the working class population suddenly expands. The working post has also changed, which in the past mainly concentrated to the state economy organization and the collective economy organization, now shifts to the non-public ownership economic organization massively, working class's connotation and the extension has also had the change. Looked from the mass basis that, the farmer social class gradually decreased, the new social class unceasingly appears. With the new change in Chinese social class and stratum, it appears extremely essential to enhance party's class foundation and expand party's mass basis.In the new period, strengthening and widening class foundation and mass basis of the CPC can maintains the political stable, create the political legitimacy of party, realize party's modernization and practice the "three represents" important thought. Therefore, under the new historical condition, the CPC must adapt the new change of working class, pay attention to the investigation and study, all embark from the reality, and accompany with the time, increasingly strengthens the parry's class foundation and widens the party's mass basis.
