The idea that corporation should assume social responsibility has been increasingly accepted. Different from traditional company idea, corporate social responsibility (CSR) theory maintains that the only goal of the company is: while guaranteeing stockholders maximizes profit, the company realizes the maximization of stakeholders' welfare too. Although our own corporations have got some achievements on carrying out social responsibility, there is no doubt that the status quo of CSR in our country is not optimized. So research on the theoretical basis and improve the system of CSR have a significant sense on theoretic and realistic.This paper is from the angle of Economic law, and combines analysis of theory and exercise both analogy and comparative methods. Firstly, this paper' discusses the concept, the characteristic, the scope, and the practical significance of CSR, as well as introduces the present situation of CSR in our country. Regarding the concept, the characteristic, the scope have not until been formed the unified viewpoint now, thus this article only discusses these problems which still need further study. Then it theoretically analyzes the conjunction of the economic law and the CSR. This thesis applies the basic theories of economic law that consists of social public interest, value orientation, balance coordination function, sustainable development view, and so on to justify CSR. Thus, this paper concludes that we could use the method of economic law to promote enterprise to undertake the social responsibility is feasible and wise. In this foundation, this paper analyzes some shortcoming of the resent laws and regulations that related to the CSR, and proposes some advice which I hope would be helpful to the improvement of CSR system.
