Since the establishment of China, the booming development of social economy and the Birth Control policy legislated in 70s of last century have made China one of the countries with the highest aging of population. In this process, there are more aged women than aged men; however, these women are experiencing various difficulties such as bad health, high disease rate, lack of Medicare, inconvenience of hospitalization, and heavy housework. They also have fewer revenues and opportunities of participation in economic life so as to lead to less quality life comparing to men; therefore, aged women have become the minority in family and society. Nowadays, there have been more than 45 million suburb aged women (Above 60 yrs old), consisting of 55% of the aged population in suburb area. They are fragile and vulnerable group, i.e. the social marginalized group.The issue of aged women has drawn more and more attentions along with the aging of population. Nevertheless, the security system of suburb aged women has not been sufficiently recognized and researched in comparison to other aging problems. The few existing researches on the subject specified in aged women situation are mixed with other aging problem researches, and so far there is no social science research specifically related to the issue of suburb aged women. The present paper demonstrates the living situation of suburb aged women from every angle and analyzes the security system for suburb aged women through research. The writer hope that the real-life data in this research could provide evidence and theoretical support for the security system for suburb aged women. The first part describes the theory, concept, and methodology utilized in this research. The theories of detachment, activism, and social exchange were employed to do literature review on national and international documents. The paper summarizes and analyzes the social life of suburb aged women in order to understand the security system for the aged in some regions. In the analysis, qualitative and quantitative methodologies were both used with the help of structured questionnaire and personal interviews.The second part discovers and analyzes the current situation and problems in the security system for suburb aged women.The third part concerns about the analysis in relation to the security system for suburb aged women, including economic revenues, consumption and saving, living conditions, social support, and mental comfort, etc.The fourth part is about the suggestions and solution about this issue, concluding that the basic living needs of suburb aged women can be satisfied, yet low living standard, bad health, hospitalization difficulties, lack of caring and mental comfort still bother them. Hence, multiple methods, such as various endowments, enforcement of suburb Medicare reform, establishment of endowment insurance, development of suburb area economy, and building of the security system of basic living conditions for the aged, should be implemented in suburb areas.The fifth part is the conclusion. Through objective and systematical analysis of the issue related to suburb aged women, the paper tries to find the solutions and means for this issue so that our country could build and improve the security system for suburb aged population, maintain the stability of the society, accelerate the economic development, and construct a stable and harmonious society.
