Emancipatory Politics And Life Politics Two Important Subjects Of Giddens' Political Theory

Antony·Giddens is one of the most famous social theorist in UK and the western world.Antony Giddens is not only well- known because of his real political influence, his Modernity theory and his sincerely care of social reality and his new theory conception, brought the world which is all of risky and challenges a hope and many the inspirations.During Giddens's theory exploration and the conception, his resonsideration of the Way and tesults of the Modernity ,is the core connotation of Giddens's Political thinking. Facing reality of the post -modern era, Giddens constructed the Dialogic democracicy,positive welfare cultural cosmopolitanism and so on, providing Countermeasures in each aspect for the Western society.Emancipatory politics and life politics are two important dimensions of Giddens' political theory. During the post-modern time, Although there are many problems with emancipatory politics, encountering the questioning,can not display the core functions, it should not be given up. The life politics also can not departure emancipatory politics. The life politics do not contains all political subjects,and it needs emancipatory politics' help. Structuuration theory causes a connection between Emancipatory politics and life politics. They are contradictory in a whole political theory of Giddens. Explaining and comparing them is the most important thing in my paper.
