On The Punishment Of Deprivation Of Political Rights

The lightening of punishment has gradually been the development direction of today's world punishment. Deprivation of political rights, as one of the qualification punishment, is lighter than criminal detention or imprisonment. Our country's Criminal Law just gave a cursory provision on the deprivation of political rights. As a result of pinch of law and justice interpretation and its content's maladjustment with the development, the punishment of deprivation of political rights is rarely applied in our country's justice practice. So it's necessary to research on it. In this thesis, through expatiating the concept, history of deprivation of political rights and it's difference with qualification punishment abroad, the author analyses the content, periods, application object, combined punishment and commutation of punishment of deprivation of political rights. The thesis put forward the corresponding advice so as to give reference for the perfect of the legislation of deprivation of political rights.
