The criminal appeal procedure plays an important role in the error-correction of a criminal procedure.This article analyses the functions and shortcomings of China's criminal appeal as well as the features of criminal appeal procedures in the western countries and provides preliminary suggestions on how to improve the current procedure of the criminal appeal of China.
