The contemporary young peasant workers have replaced old peasant workers, becoming the main body of the peasant workers colony in cities. Comparing old peasant workers who are able to endure humiliation and choose to be silent, young peasant workers hold their special political values and have greater aspiration to play a certain role in politic issues. The significant issues of political participation of young peasant workers have influenced the transformation of social structure in urban and rural areas, social harmony and economic development. Based on the principles in sociology, youth-logy and socio-psychology, mainly the theory of social exclusion and socialist harmonious society, this paper discusses some issues of political participation of the contemporary young peasant workers. In view of the survey on young peasant workers' political participation situation in Fuzhou, this paper empirically analyses the present situation and existent problems from the dimensions of psychology and behavior of political participation. On the basis of this, the paper mainly analyses a series of social exclusive factors existing in economy, system, culture and social psychology and some personal factors, which restrict political participation of the contemporary peasant workers.
