Through the discussion on the details of Liu Xiaofeng's 'Hedgehog's Tameness', this article wants to clarify and revert the dispute between Isaiah Berlin and Leo Strauss, and study Liu Xiaofeng's own purpose and his emphasis in his introduction of Leo Strauss. Because of Liu Xiaofeng's distortion of materials on purpose, Isaiah Berlin is doomed to be failure at the very beginning, and the key conflict between Isaiah Berlin and Leo Strauss has not been fully discussed. Actually, the main difference between Berlin's value pluralistic and Leo Strauss's political philosophy is whether different values are commensurable. Berlin thinks that competition amongst gods is our destiny, by contrast, Leo Strauss considers competition amongst gods as the opportunity of quest for Nature, which is the basis of everythings on earth and where philosophy become possible. However, Leo Strauss's philosophy is faced with serious trouble that how to defend philosophy before apocalypse. In Liu Xiaofeng's introduction of Leo Strauss, the conflict between philosophy and apocalypse is weakened, which is very different from Leo Strauss's own writings. What Liu Xiaofeng cares is not the option either philosophy or apocalypseelse, but how to change philosophers to prophets and educate the people.
