Nowadays,since different kinds ofconflicts caused by the rapid and profound reformation, which have affaced the harmoney of our sociaty,become more and more obvious,we are required to find solutions to solve them.This paper states the concepts of harmonious society as well as socialistic harmonious society . Also, this paper traces the origin of socialistic harmonious society from the harmonious ideas in the Chinese traditional cultures and that in the western cultures as well as in Maxism.The paper offers a theoretical elaboration of Mao Zedong's, Deng Xiaoping's, Jiang Zemin's, and Hu Jintao's concepts of establishing a harmonious society, thereby explaining how the Communist Party of China has been exploring a harmonious society theoretically. It also analyzes the realistic problems and manifestations which affect the harmony of the society as well as the significance of building a harmonious socialist society. Furthermore, it points out the historical inevitability of building a harmonious socialist society. On the basis of the analysis above, the paper explores the theory problems about ways and means of building a harmonious socialist society.Proposals for the contraction of a harmonious socialist society are as the followings: quicken the pace in the instruction of demoncratic politics to facilitate the harmony of economic system and political system; accelerate the establishment of the long-term mechanism which can promote the development of agriculture with industry and bring along the development of the countryside with cities; improve the interacting mechanism of district harmony to promote harmounious relationship between districts; coordinate properly the interest relationship between various sections of the society to promote Interpersonal Harmony; speed up to construct resources-conserving and environmentally friendly society to promote harmonious development between human and nature.
