Civic Polity And Multi-Cultural Coexistence

All multi-racial or multi-ethnic nations face the important issue of providing the direction of ethnic relationship in the modern time. By evaluating three different models of cultural-democracy in contemporary western political thoughts, autonomy,stability and publicity, in my viewpoint, are the key words for constructing a well-built modern state. In the new century, China should learn from both our own historical heritage and the lessons of the western countries, to build a harmonious multi-racial nation on the basis of the balance between citizenship and ethnicity. At last, given that traditional Chinese culture have a lot of political wisdom, we as global citizens have the responsibility to inherit and further carry forward them to make an overall prosperity.
