On The Economic Law Safeguards For The Vulnerable Groups

The large number of the vulnerable groups signifies the growing polarization of Chinese society. This considerable group has affected the harmony and development of society and become the chief obstacle on the path to social equality. Therefore, conducting in-depth research of the disadvantaged in modern China as well as establishing social support networks for these groups, especially legal protection mechanisms, are both matters with considerable practical significance. This paper will study protection of the vulnerable groups from the perspective of economic law, demonstrating that such protection is a necessity dictated by economic law itself. The intrinsic nature of economic law requires adopting its specific measures of protection for the vulnerable groups– in order to balance the interests of various groups, ensure their intergrowth and co-prosperity, and eventually benefit the whole of society. However, due to the lack of current economic legislation, the protection offered by economic law still has limitations. It is therefore imperative to perfect the protection mechanisms of current economic law and create a developmental system.
