On Mao Zedong's Ethnical Ideology In The Early Years Of Founding The PRC

Where there exist different ethnic groups,there exist ethnic issues.Ethnic issue is an integral part of a society.For a country of multiple ethnic groups,ethnic issues are not only related to the integrity and safety of a country,the consolidation and development between different ethnic groups,but also to world peace and local stability. The disintegration of the former Soviet Union and the drastic changes in Eastern Europe were largely due to their failure to deal successfully with ethnic issues.China has been a nation of multiple ethnic groups in history,which is one of China's basic national conditions.Ethnic issue is one that the CCP had to deal with in the course of national revolution,socialist revolution and construction.Since its foundation,the CCP has been paying much attention to ethnic issue and regarding it as an important part of China's revolution and construction.The CCP has used Marxist ethnic theory creatively in dealing with ethnic problems and has formulated a series of thoughts about ethnic issues with Chinese characteristics.The initial stage since the foundation of the People's Republic of China,that is, from October 1949 to December 1957,was regarded as a "Golden Age" for ethnic relationship in China.The first collective leadership of the Communist Party,with Mao Zedong at its core,has inherited and developed Marxist thought on ethnic issues by combining it with China's history and reality,to form a complete system of theories on ethnic issues,thus enriching and developing Marxist ethnic theory.Mao's system of ethnic theory has the basic theory about ethnic groups and ethnic issues as its base,the common development and prosperity of all ethnic groups as its starting point and final destination,the basic principles and policies in solving ethnic issues as its bridge and the working method in solving ethnic problems as its practical approach.Therefore,Mao's ethnic theory has blazed new trails with Chinese characteristics in solving ethnic problems.The theory has been successfully applied in ethnic work and has formed a correct way with Chinese characteristics in solving ethnic problems.This thesis dwells on the theoretical source,realistic basis,main contents, basic characteristics and significance of Mao's ethnic thoughts.Mao's ethnic thought has enriched and developed Marxist ethnic theory and laid a solid foundation for our party to further explore a socialist ethnic theory with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Mao's thought has contributed a lot in localizing Marxism. At the same time,Mao's ethnic thought is an important part of Mao Zedong Thought;it is remarkably scientific,systematic,class-oriented,innovative and practical.The author of the thesis tries to treat Mao's ethnic thought as an independent topic in order to highlight the realistic significance of Mao's ethnic thought in coordinating relationship between different ethnic groups and resolving ethnic problems.The innovation of this thesis lies in the following two aspects:Firstly,it discusses Mao's system of ethnic theory in an all-around and systematic way;secondly,it is closely related to our learning and implementing Hu Jintao's Scientific Outlook on Development and constructing a harmonious society.
