Legal Analysis On The Economic Sanctions Of The United States

As s tool of foreign policy,economic sanction has an important status in the foreign practice of the United States.The United States has framed an integrated system of legal authority and operational mechanism in order to impose economic sanctions effectively.A legal analysis on the economic sanction of the United States will be beneficial to the countering and using of economic sanctions in China's foreign practice.In the first chapter,the paper discussed the basic theory problem of economic sanctions,such as definitions,correlative concept,the motive and policy objectives of economic sanctions;in the second chapter,the paper elaborated the legal system of the economic sanctions of the United States,including legal authority,substantial rule and main practice involved;in the third chapter,the paper analyzed the limitations on use of sanctions under the international law and U.S.law;in the fourth chapter,after introducing the developments and changes of the economic sanctions of the United States,the paper brought forward some suggestions on the countering and using of economic sanctions.
