The Spread And Impact Of Fichte's Nationalistic Idea In China In 1920s And 1930s

In Late 18th century early 19th century,Fichte,a patriot,is a famous German philosopher also,whose nationalistic idea and the practice has a vital role in rehabilitation of German.And in China, until 1910S,Mr Liang Chichao focused on his ideology.Mr Liang, one of modern scholars of nationalism,introduced the philosophy of Fichte,and praised the effect of his nationalism in practice,to wake up and stimulate our Chinese to struggle for natinal revival.At present, the academic philosophy of Fichte has attracted a lot of scholars,but his nationalistic idea has been ignored.Combined with social context of China in that time,and the development stages of nationalism,this paper reviewed the process of spread of Fichte's nationalistic idea in China in 1920s and 1930s,and analysed the characteristics and impact of this spread further.Then I concludeded:the process of spread of Fichte's nationalistic idea in China is gradual.Due to chinese special historical background-----nationality crisis,the western theories had been added a strong tool of color,and Fichte's not was excluded.In this context,Fichte nationalist ideology was often interpreted as patriotism,which could inspire chinese people.In 1920S,the ideas of Fichte was introduced frequently by the Sober Lion Sect,and Fichte was regarded as the founder of nationalism by them.The Sober Lion Sect paid much attention on Fichte's idea about saving the country via education,and tried to wake up national consciousness through education.In 1930S,because of the deepened national crisis leaded by Japanese expanding ambition,Fichte's nationalistic idea was prevalent.His'speech to the German nation', the spirit of his salvation,the practice of saving the country via education were almost accepted by everyone,from the well-known scholars,politicians,to the general secondary school students.In this stage,Mr Helin and Zhang Junmai put much effort to the introduction of Fichte's idea.Anyway,Fichte's nationalistic idea and his practice of patriotism had given a great of encouragement to Chinese people, and had influenced the development of Chinese nationalism at the same time.
