On Zhang Junmai's Socialist Thought And Its Modern Significance

In the first half of the twentieth century, Sinicization of Marxism was spread by the interactive impact and debate with various socialist ideological trends. In order to better understand and develop the Marxist Socialist Ideology---scientific socialism. It needs to clarify and understand the socialist ideological trends at that time. The Democratic socialism is the revisionist of the right-wing Marxist, and also one of the representatives of socialist ideological trends. Zhang Junmai is a leader of this Socialist Ideology.The research on Zhang Junmai's socialist thought and its modern significance seem to be extremely feeble in the current academic circle. This article attempts to make an analysis on the characteristics of Zhang Junmai socialism comparing to the scientific socialism and sum up the main thoughts of Zhang Junmai's socialist thought, the experiences and lessons. Especially his emphasis on the democratic politic value appeal have the significance while the building of socialist democratic politics in our country nowadays. It will help us better understand the development of modern socialism and promote the improvement of scientific socialism and put forward Sinicization of Marxism to further development.In this paper, we first make a brief introduction of Zhang Junmai's whole life and status of academic research, and then summarize the three times of the evolution on its socialist ideology and the differences of the various stages. And we explore the causes of the formation of Zhang Junmai's socialist thought which mainly due to the influence by the Great Harmony of Confucian thought, the concept of moderation, humanism, the Western political philosophy and social system design. Subsequently, the author expounded the core of Zhang Junmai's socialist thought. He believes that democratic economy is the primary content of socialist ideology; democratic politics is the necessary means to culture is realize the socialism; culture is the inner force to promote the development of socialism. Finally, based on the characteristics of Junmai Zhang socialism comparing to the scientific socialism--we stress that emphasis on study its modern significance as well as economic and political democracy.Although there are some shortcomings in Zhang Junmai socialist thought, but also contains a number of the essence which inspirits the deep development of Sinicization of Marxism and referential significance in many areas:democratic build, human rights protection, law build, social fair, etc. That is the purposes and values we study the Zhang Junmai's socialist thought.
