From "Subject Culture" To "Civic Culture"

The goal of political modernization is the democratization of politics, and democracy depends on the conversion of political psychology and political culture, for china, is th change from subject culture to civic culture. In the process of political modernization of China, how to build a civic culture is an urgent topic. In this paper, we bring forward suggestions of the way from subject culture to civic culture in the view of political socailization.First, the article explains subjects of a subuject culture and civic culture, bring forward the characteristics of Chinese subjects culture. Then pointing out civic culture is a kind of blends culture, is the target of our country' s political culture modernization.The achievement of political culture changes need to seek a reasonable research path, political socialization is a reasonable path. As the process of political culture ,political socialization has important values, including the value for individual citizens: cultivate the political role of qualified;the value for political system: promote social stability and development;the value for political culture: heritage and innovation.Based on the study of political socialization perspectives, the author bring forward the way to construct Chinses civic cluture : a reasonable assessment of Chinese and Western political culture, drawing on the political socialization of Chinese and foreign effective path;Enrich the content of political socialization, build a socialist system of cultural values of citizens;improve the protection of political socialization, to seek support of legal and public policy;improvement the education system, from political education to civic education ;broaden the effective ways of political socialization, spread civic culture through the mass media.
