The right of reproduction is the most essential and the earliest right among copyrights. Studying the historical development of the right of reproduction, we can know that it has experienced the printing era, electronic age and digital age. The scope of the right of reproduction changes with the technological development. But how to delimit the right of reproduction and reproduction are inconclusive that bring some difficulties to the administration of justice. This dissertation is based on China's Copyright Law, through the analysis of foreign laws and summing up the academic research results in order to find out the control content of the right of reproduction, and the elements of the reproduction. Writing this dissertation is intended to perfect the legislation about the right of reproduction.This paper is divided into three parts, including introduction, body and conclusion. The body is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1 examines the historical development of the right of reproduction. The development of the right of reproduction is divided into the printing era, the electronic age and the digital age. No matter in which era, the right of reproduction is the most important economic rights. Chapter 2 analyzes some nation's document information about the right of reproduction. On the one hand is to analyze how other countries to define the right of reproduction, on the other hand is to learn how other countries to provide the rights content of the reproduction. There are three kinds of mode for reproduction definition in worldwide legislation:list, generalization and mixed way of the two above. The mixed way is the most scientific. Chapter 3 is how to identify reproduction in copyright law. The essence of the right of reproduction is to control the expression of works. Elements of reproduction are including content of work again, fixed on the top of the physical carrier, no originality. Of course, some time should also consider other factors. In addition to this, we should distinguish reproduction, plagiarize and deduction. Chapter 4 analyzes the classification of reproduction. First, does not change the work carrier. Among this, the temporary reproduction is very special. Second, transforms no carrier into carrier. Third, converses between two-dimensional and three-dimensional.
