Media supervision and judicial independence are the basic principles in modern democratic countries.Media supervision against justice means focusing on, reporting and criticizing some social phenomenon, event or fact concerning justice through both traditional media including newspapers, magazines, television and broadcasting, and new media including Internet, in order to monitor and supervise justice by its communication and publication. Its legal value lies in freedom of expression and rights of information and supervision and the realization, which is indispensable to constitutionalism.Judicial independence of modern society means that jurisdiction shall be separated strictly from the legislative power and the executive power, and that the Judge exerts its jurisdiction according to and only according to law, and will not be affected or interfered by any other factors.Media supervision should fulfill people's freedom of press and speech, and the purpose of judicial independence is to get fair justice. The rights mentioned above are people's basic rights, which aim to pursue social fairness and justice and man's free comprehensive and full development. The nature of media supervision and the one of judicial independence are the same. However, it obvious that there is tension, conflicts and disharmony existing between them.Striking balance between media which are under freedom and regulation and justice which is rational and independent should be the goal of reforming and improving system of justice and media.
