Analysis Theory Of Giddens "Third Way"

Current social democracy so-called "third way" is faced with many uncertainties and huge challenges, frustrations associated reforms, in which case, the ideological and theoretical and policy advocates change and adjustment plays an important role to the survival and development of Socialist Party. The"third way"put out by the former British prime minister Blair's spiritual mentor Anthony Giddens, and put forward by Blair practice vigorously , the "third way" in Western Europe's political arena has been all the rage once promoted the great development of capitalism, conform to the times trend. However, in the era of dramatic changes in the East Europe, the disintegration of Soviet Union and the sweeping of globalization background, context of democratic socialism in all countries have fallen into difficulties. In order to seek survival and development, democratic socialism needs new exploration in the category of capitalism. Anthony Giddens proposed the "third way" theory that was called the third time transformation and change of democratic socialism.This paper attempts to introduced in detail Giddens, the"third way"program and policies, including the main elements of the values of neutrality; and Giddens's "life politics",the point of view relevant to country and democracy, economic policy, foreign policy agenda of the"third way"theory, and then through in-depth analysis to understand its nature clearly, the drawbacks and limitations of policy and programs. Of course, it does not deny, which also contains a certain amount of reasonable factors, and finally, make clear its pros and cons of the "third way"draw on valuable experience, learn from its experience for our socialist modernization, our party's construction.The"third way"from the current situation also, by and into the predicament, can be said that the prospects are not very optimistic; there are many uncertainties that decide its success or failure. The fatal weakness is that it does not have a rigorous economic theory to support itself. This will greatly weaken the vitality and influence of an ideological and theoretical system."Third way"theory as the third time transition of theoretical system of democratic socialism, the courage that explore innovatively deserve us to learn. China is now in a very critical period socialist modernization. The theory of democratic socialism, as today's world, the only existing scientific socialism theory which provided complete theoretical patterns and have been the practiced, although the academic controversy about whether it can be called socialism is still there, but it is worthy of our study and exploration. We should draw upon all achievements and essence of human civilization progress, of course, including the theoretical system of democratic socialism that contains the correct theoretical results which can serve for our socialist modernization driving, for our party building service, in order to further deepen reform and services. In this paper, first of all we must emancipate the mind that adhere to the socialist road with the direction of our own discussion-The road of socialism with Chinese characteristics, then at the same time continue to constantly promote theoretical innovation, so as to deepen the reform of our cause, strengthen and improve the social welfare and security system and so should draw on valuable experience and a painful lesson from the"third way", so as to promote social harmony, and as soon as possible into the well-off society.
