The Education Thoughts In Rawls' Justice Theory

Research in the field of justice in the modern west, Rawls'can be described as significantly superior. Thus, most scholars generally concern about Rawls'theory of justice, and conduct a deep analysis. But few people take note of his elaboration on education. In the education sector, when talking about John Rawls, most of educationalists concentrate on educational equity under the tow principle of justice, and make it as a literature reference or theoretical support. But they ignore his other idea of justice education, such as in family education, the significance of enhancing women's status to the next generation, parents promoting children's moral feelings, the educational effects of fairness and justice of the socio-political systems. Thus it can be seen that to make sure about whatever and what position of Rawls'education thoughts under his theory of justice can rich our country's education equity theory, construct a fair system of modern education and have great significance of solving the problems of educational equity during the process of establishing a socialist market economy,.Basing on Rawls'A Theory of Justice, Justice as Fairness: A Restatement Political Liberalism, The Law of Peoples and the theoretical analysis of Junren Wan, Huaihong He, Dazhi Yao ect, this text mainly arranges the logical premises and logical system of Rawls'education thoughts and analyzes the specific contents and affects, and gives some personal valuations. The focus of this article is Rawls' idea of justice education. With a view from a new perspective on re-understanding the thoughts of Rawls' justice education, we will have a systematic text analysis on his educational discourse.The first section of this thesis is from the personal experience of Rawls and his dissatisfaction towards the concept of"the greatest happiness of the overwhelming majority of people"to analyze the motivation of his thoughts. Then find the theoretical support of his educational thoughts with Rawls'theory of justice. In the second section of this thesis, I am mainly from three aspects of his justice system: education thoughts, family groups under the concept of justice, education value to analyze carefully. In the last section, make a simple description both from Rawls'impact of his education thoughts and the evaluation of his education thoughts under his theory of justice.
