Research On The System Of Criminal Jury

The criminal jury system is the application of jury system in the area of criminal procedure. It is the important part of criminal justice system in the most countries. Presently, although the development of the criminal jury system appears recession in some countries, it still has strong developing ability. In China, we have a big improvement in the criminal jury system during the reform of justice system, but no matter in legislation or in criminal justice, imperfection and defect still exists. Our criminal suit system and justice system has many obstacles to it. It needs to be reformed and perfected further. Firstly, this paper introduces the meaning of the criminal jury system, the historical evolution process, the worthiness of it in China and status of foreign countries'. Secondly, the writer analyses and points out the problems and shortcomings of the criminal jury system in legislation and criminal justice. Finally, from some aspects including the mode of legislation and criminal justice, the content construction and the supporting measures to ensure the operation, the writer conceives the idea to better the criminal jury system.
