Research On The Relationship Between Party And Group In The Early Days Of Party(1921-1923)

Chinese Communist Youth League is mass organization of advanced youth led by the Communist Party of China, and the relationship between the Communist Youth League and the Communist Party is an important issue that has existed since the birth of the two organizations. As for the party-league relation,there are a lot of problems that are worth studying.Taking the party-league relation in shanghai during the early period of party-building(1921-1923) as a case, this paper mainly makes a systematic research from four aspects, including general situations of the two organizations, the main content, the characteristics, the constraints as well as some solutions of the party-league relation.First of all, in terms of basic situations of the two organizations, the member constitution, the organization structure, and their relationship between the party and the league in shanghai during the period are analyzed and studied. Firstly, it illustrates the member constitution of the party in Shanghai, and analyzes the traits of its members in profession, culture, age and so on in detail. Then, it describes the organization constitution of the party from the aspect of organizational relation, and the constitution of Youth League and its relationship with the party members are also explained, and finally the organizational structure of the Youth League is illustrated and analyzed.Then, as for the party-league relation, a very close relationship has been established since the establishment of the party-league organization, but the confusion of the party-league relation has become a focus problem at that time. Subsequently, the central leading institutions of the party and the league gradually recognized the problem, and the party-league relation was placed on the agenda. They put forward that the party-league relation should be in accordance with the Youth Communist International guidelines.Ultimately, the party-league relation was clearly defined in the form of texts during the second national congress of the league. Since then, the long-standing ambiguity of the political subjection relation between the party and the league has been solved in the form of official texts, providing a basis for clarifying their respective tasks and responsibilities of the party and the league in the future. The party-league relation mainly includes two aspects:Firstly, the Youth League politically must be subordinate to the leadership of the party completely; secondly, as for the organization and work, the Youth League should uphold the independence of the organization and work. At the same time, the two sides should keep in touch with each other in a certain way, and the party has to offer the league political guidance and organizational help.Next, it concerns with the characteristics of the party-league relation. In terms of organizational relations, it goes through a development process from nothing to something, from abstract to concrete, from vague to clear in subordination; as far as the nature of work is concerned, it goes through a process from without distinguishing from each other to gradual differentiation.Finally, as far as the constraints and solutions of the party-league relation are concerned, the factors that affect their relationship include:the identity of a party and league member, the awareness of league members, realistic problems and so on. As to the above factors that constrain the party-league relation, in order to solve the problems that mentioned above, the central leaders of the party and the league subsequently make many decisions to define and regulate the problems, such as the limit of age on party and league members, the young trend of league members, the seperation of tasks between the party and the league, etc.In conclusion, this thesis describes the research purposes of the party-league relation, illustrates the impact of the party-league relation on our party and the youth in the future.
