Credit cards are typically from the West countries, which provide the simple credit services by means of non-cash transaction payments. As a convenient financial instruments nowadays, it tends to contain considerable risks while bringing convenience to people's daily lives. With the continuous development of the market economy, China's issue volume of credit card is gaining rapid growth, but personal credit system and the corresponding legal institution that credit cards rely on has not yet been fully established in China. This paper aims at analysing the risk sources and responsibilities, and tries to make sound recommendations accordingly, by the analysis of the main problems in credit card transaction activities.This paper is divided into three chapters: chapter I begins with a clear definition of credit card, and elaborates the importance of credit cards in today's life through the development process of credit card and the current state of development in China. Chapter II, by the analysis of relevant data, information and research results, categorizes the kinds of legal risks of credit card, and explained in detail five specific risk sources and responsibilities. In the end, Chapter III, based on the foregoing analysis and the current development status of China's credit card industry, makes sound recommendations from the aspects of the legal system and concrete operations.
