Research On The Function Of The Anti-earthquake Spirit In Ideological And Political Education

The anti-earthquake spirit is form of the common struggle against the catastrophic earthquake by Chinese people.It makes us noticed a great sublimation of the Chinese national spirit in the reform and opening-up age. At the same time it also showed the noble acts of patriotism displayed by the entire Chinese people to fight natural disaster. President Hu Jintao at the recent national ceremony to award people for their heroic behaviors in fighting the disaster stressed that"The great anti-earthquake spirit is a very valuable spiritual treasure for the Party and the people. We should promote and popularize the great anti-earthquake spirit in the Party and the society .And make it into the steady determination in the hard strive and reconstruction period and the powerful strength on promoting the economic society have good and rapid development."In the national spirit and patriotism gradually being swallowed by the economic tide today,vigorously promote and popularize the great anti-earthquake spirit and propagate the advanced ideas and paradigmatic deeds which emerged in fighting the disaster is a good opportunity to strengthen the education of the chinese national spirit and patriotism.The ideological and political education should catch this opportunity to full exert the function of the main channel of the ideological and political theory courses and the main front of ideological and political daily education and the main way of social practices to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education. This text is divided into four parts mainly.In the first part,I briefly summarize the definition, species of natural disaster ,and the related statement of earthquake disaster .And then I elaborate the produce process and connotation of the anti-earthquake spirit. In the second part, I elaborate the basic features of the anti-earthquake spirit from nationality, mass participation, organizational, cultural and scientific aspects. In the third part,I discuss the specific expression of the function of the anti-earthquake spirit in ideological and political education.The anti-earthquake spirit have oriented function on the sublimation of the life and values,have embrave function on the realization of the common value and faith,have education function on the practice of the communist morality,have demonstrate function on the culture of the organization and coordination abilities, have regulate function on the humane care and psychological counsel.
