The Preliminary Study On The Party-masses Relationship In The New Period

Political party, which is the result of a certain stage of economic development, is a product of modern political life. Political party meets the need of political civilization. Relationship between political party and the masses is an important part in party politics.Chinese Communist Party values the relationship very seriously since it set up. Adhering to the mass line, relying on the strength of the masses is the fundamental guarantee of Chinese Communist Party could get the success of revolution and construction. As a having 60 years ruling experience, and more than 7000 million members'party, how to understand and deal with the relationship between the party and the masses is a major problem in leading the Chinese people in building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Study on the party-masses relationship in the period is the objective requirements of consolidating the party's ruling status and improving the party's leading. The Third Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party in the end of 1978 opened a new chapter in China's social development. 30 years, China has achieved great economic and social progress and the social structure also has great changes. In the new social environment, the party-masses relationship has some problems. Could we correct understand and properly resolve the party-masses relationship under the new situation is a Major issue which is related to the party's future and destiny.The thesis starts from the analysis of whole society, the changes in the economic system will inevitably affect the entire social landscape. But the rest of society is not a passive system as the economy changes; each part will have its own characteristics. Many factors shape the society together, understanding these factors, we can't always use reductionism. The whole thesis is divided into four parts:First is introduction. To clarify the conception and essence of the party-masses relationship, point out that the importance of the party-masses relationship, and briefly describe the history of the party-masses relationship before the reform and opening up.The second part focuses on description the society changes after reform and opening up. The changing of the economic system has restructured the whole society. This is the background of the party-masses relationship.The third part analyses the factors which are affected the party-masses relationship. These factors could be divided into internal and external factors. Sometimes, these factors may work alone; sometimes, they may work together. Understanding of these factors is the premise of handling the party-masses relationship.The last part, because the party-masses relationship has some problem in the new environment,I will give some suggestion to improve the party-masses relationship. As we know, there are many factors in it, so we should be used many theories, such as Interest, political demands, and the party organization's building are important aspects of the harmony relationship between party and masses.
