United Kingdom Ethnic Policies And The Enlightenment Study To China Ethnic Policies

Since the establishment of The People's Republic of China , our country's national work has made brilliant achievements, with ethnic minorities and national economic areas undergone a historic leap in the aspect of economy, which is a great success made by our Party and country . They have developed and implemented a series of national policies, according to Chinese national condition and actual circumstances of ethnic minorities and national areas. It has proved by practice that only by adhering to and constantly improving our national policy, can the equal, united and harmonious socialist ethnic relations will be further consolidated and developed. Therefore, It is a way of improving our national policy that to learn other countries' successful experience of how to address national issues.In this paper, drawing on the basis of previous research, I take the United Kingdom as a selection object, compare and analyze UK's national policies and our national policies and present some opinions and suggestions . that is the inspiration exerted by the British National Policy on the Improvement of our National PolicyIn addition to the preface and the conclusion, the body text of the thesis consists of three parts:The first part describes the British national profiles, the history and the status quo of ethnic relations of United Kingdom, operational mechanism of the British national (ethnic) policy and the key content of British Race policy.The second part analyzes and summarizes the new situation and new problems happened in the course of implementing our national policies by elaborating Chinese national conditions and the essence, content and operational mechanism of our national policy.The third part puts forward some opinions and suggestions aiming at the problems happened in the course of implementing our national policy, according to the current situation of development of our national relations, by drawing the successful practices of development and implementation of UK's national policies. The suggestions are mainly presented from several aspects. such as from the national institutional level, to persist in Chinese national policies unswervingly; from the political system and mechanisms level, to strengthen the implementation and supervision of laws and regulations; from work operation level, to clarity the work and service system and to focus on improvement of people' livelihood; from ideological orientation of the society, to strengthen the core values and national consciousness, enhancing the national unity etc.The third part is the new ideas and new insights obtained by the study.
