Anglo-American special relations mainly include two aspects: close cooperation on military and security, blood and cultural natural contact.Close cooperation on military and security is determined by the actual demand, blood and cultural natural link is derived from the unique historical origins of the two countries. The two together constitute the structure of Anglo-American special relations, making the Anglo-American relations more specialWhen took office,Brown put forward his US policy which was "based on the common goal of the partnership" and has repositioned the Anglo-America relations.Multiple reasons has lead to Brown's adjustment to the US policy: the end of the cold war and the development of economic globalization has made the development of the economy as Britain's primary goal;with the development of European integration, the United States was putting more emphasis on dialogue with the EU;not following the United States blindly anymore,Brown paid more attention to multilateralism and international cooperation to deal with the global adjustment.Brown's policy to US has two characteristics.First,it's pragmatism, which emphasizes that the partnership between Britain and America is based on a common goal;second,it insists that the special relationship between Britain and America is one of the foreign policy tools, rather than the objective of foreign policy. The Anglo-American special relationship is not innate, but formed during the special years of the Cold War,and will certainly move toward normalization.Brown's policy adjustment is indeed the process of despecialization, which has its inevitability.
