The term vocational burnout was introduced by Freudenberger, an American clinical psychologist, in 1974. And it was Maslach and Jackson who made the current widespread definition of burnout, which means a physical and psychological comprehensive symptom caused by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment., and can be found in anyone who contacts others in person. This article, based on the surveys carried out in three vocational colleges located in Hefei, China, on vocational burnout, life habits, social supports, reactions to challenges, proposes the following results:1. Teachers in vocational colleges in Hefei area have more positive reaction to challenges. They get more subjective and objective supports than average. Their feeling of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization is less sensitive, while their feeling of being successful is less obvious than average. Their health is near average.2. With the increase of age, teachers' sense of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization firstly goes up and then goes down, showing a line graph of higher in the middle but lower in the beginning and the end. The age differences of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization are statistically significant, but not so in feelings of low achievement.3. Gender comparison shows that male teachers have less feeling of being less successful than females, but they have more negative reaction to challenges. They get less supports and they are remarkably less healthy than female teachers.4. In using advantage of multiple regression analysis, we put the cause of emotional exhaustion, health level, negative reaction and subjective support into the equation, and discovered that explainable rate of total explanation is 15.49%, of which health level occupies a larger portion. Negative reaction and subjective support can sensibly explain depersonalization, with a rate of 9.1%.In analysis of sense of being less successful, only positive reaction is useful in the equation, with a rate of 10.55.
