Study On Ideals And Beliefs Education Of Private College Students

If the society is the sea, life is a boat, then the dream is a beacon that guides you to the ideal destination, and the belief is the sail that push you ahead. A life without dream and belief could be a boat, losing direction and driving force, floating in the waves of life, blinding to know its haven, or even sinking in fury currents and shoals. A person's youth is the sailing start of his life. The scientific and great dream and belief are the flag driving us march on. They are the source of power. They are a special spirit possessed by human beings. They are the interior core of human's mental world.Refers to "About the MainTasks of Enhancing and Improving the Mental and Political Education of College Students" in No.16 File issued by the central government, it points out that "focus on the core of dream and belief educaiton, carrying on a deep education of setting correct view about the world, the life and value", and " we should insist on equipping the college students with Marx-Lenin-Mao-Deng Theory and Three Represents, implementing in-depth education of the basic theory, basic route, basic creed and basic experience, the history of Chinese revolution, construction and the reform and opening-up policy, basic state status and policies, concept of scientific development, so that the college students can identify the development rule of a society, undertand the future and fate of our nation, know individual's social responsibility, and establish the common dream and belief of communist. Meanwhile, we should actively induct the college students to ceaselessly persue higher target, so that the better ones will set his communist world outlook and the unshakable belief of Marxism."Furthermore, it instructs:the education of dream and belief is the core of current college students'mental and political educaiton, and it is the most important subject of college mental and political eduction.Currently, the characters of speciality and concreteness of college student's mental and political education are more and more obvious. Many studies on the mental and political education of college students come forth before us in the form of monograph, papers of research and degree acquirement purpose. In this papers, we chose some research papers released in recent year, which are on the education of college students'dream and belief. We've combed and retrospected the papers for the intention of providing a reference to in-depth thinking and studying about the eduction of dream and belief in private colleges. The weaknesses we found can be concluded as:the studies obviously lie in individuals, insufficient integration of study fruits, lack of practical instruction characteristic. The college students'dream and belief education with socialism with Chinese characteristics should emphasize in: deepen the knowledge of the common dream of socialism with Chinese characteristics and its relevant theories; conclude and abstract basic experience and rule on the basis of the understanding of present conditions and causes of college students'idea and belief education; aim at the problems, expand the education ways and methods so as to increase pertinency and effectiveness.In the position of studying direction, study of the education of idea and belief in private colleges is a kind of deeper study based on present study fruits of public colleges, with combination of newly proposed common idea of socilism with Chinese characteristics.It is more special and meaningful for private colleges to improving the education of idea and belief. In 1980's, many private colleges were established and developed quickly in nearly thirty years. Up to now, private colleges have grown to an important part of higher education in China. They are shouldering the same responsibility as the public colleges, which is to cultivate erectors and successors of the socialism with Chinese characteristics. Furthermore, it is required to strengthen the education of idea and dream in private colleges to insist on the socialist orientation, promoting a healthy development of private higher education, cultivate eligible erectors and reliable successors of the career of socilism. It is also an important task of conslidating class basis, expanding the follower basis of CPC.According to a preliminary investigation, problems such as loss of political belief, blur idea and belief; distorted value orientation; weak consciousness of honesty; insufficient spirit of social responsibility, contribution of efforts, and team work; unsatisfied mental quality, etc., are existing at different degree among the students of private colleges. We should not neglect or avoid the problems. We should be aware that the problems of idea and belief, or even illegal and criminous actions happen among stutents in private colleges are closely relate to the lackness of attention from local government and colleges. Morover, the complicated social environment and the characteristics of the only-child can also be counted as an important cause. We can start from reinforcing theoretic education, building magnificent spiritual home, being guided by Marx-Lenin-Mao-Deng Theory and Three Represents, construct the home of spirit for the students. We can bring the students to pay more attention to good examples of the times, figure healthy and active personalities. We can call on the students to devote themselves to social practices and founded the footstone of idea and belief. We can encourage and induct the students in private colleges to hope and success.
