Belief is an important aspect of human spiritual phenomenon. Belief can give people the power to advance as well as binding human’s behavior. It is a phenomenon that people are deeply convinced of some religion, doctrine, and creed. Belief is acquired with human’s practice,not innate. So belief can be cultured.Today, China is in a social transition and reforming period. The political, economic,and cultural exchanges with foreign countries have become increasingly frequent China,which brings the changing of Chinese people’s state of mind. People are willing to accept new things, but the original belief systems are unavoidably affected. As young intellectuals, university Student’s have their own age characteristics, psychological characteristics, social experience restrictions. So they can not clearly judging from various thoughts in the society.Especially in nowadays, the problem of lacking of belief has been overt among college students. It is mainly marked that the landsliding of moral belief, the confusion of political belief, the diversities of philosophical belief, the lack of legal belief and the psychological frailness. These new features make ideological and political educators can not use the old concept, method or system to deal with the problems. They require the educators in a more complex and specific way. Based on nowadays state of college students, the thesis propose specific method. The education of college students should be students-centered which starts from characteristic of students. It will be more effective if we had a joint force from universities, families, society and college students.The thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter one is an introduction of the research background, research significance, research status, and research methods. Chapter two talks about the outline and theoretical basis of belief education. This part discusses the definition, characteristic and construction type of belief and belief education. Then analyzes the theoretical basis of belief education. Chapter three mainly talks about the state and influencing factors of belief education. This part analyzes the positive and healthy mainstream of college belief education. It also shows the problems of the shallow degree,the single method, lacking pertinence, divorcing from reality in college belief education. Then analyzes the factors are from universities, families, society and students themselves. Chapter four is the emphasis of the thesis which talks about the contents and methods of belief education. The contents includes the education of socialist core valuesystem, political belief, moral belief and legal belief. The methods includes four factors that are universities, families, society and students themselves. We can get the best results if we have a joining force from these four factors.
