With the in-depth research on cognitive psychology, the role of schemata in information representation and organization is becoming more and more prominent. Schemata theory has started to play an increasingly important role in literature reading education for elementary school students, both theoretically and practically. The major types of schemata in elementary literature reading education include literary schemata, event schemata, role schemata and scene schemata. Schemata impacts the literature reading education on the following three aspects: students'existing knowledge, reasoning capability and constructional reading process. During paragraphic schemata teaching of literature reading, teachers often follow the education procedure which combines subjective, penetrative and extensive teaching methods, abide by the principles of inspiration, progressiveness and interests. To optimize the paragraphic schemata education, teachers may first set the objective, then build the schematics, and add some variants, which can help students to understand and increase interests. In addition, students get to develop their way of thinking during the process of building, revising and rebuilding schematics. However, Schematics is not a prefect teaching method; if students are in the early stage of learning new knowledge, it can help them to clarify and systemize the new knowledge that they have gained; but if the students already have a good understanding of the knowledge, additional understanding of the individual character is needed to better implement this teaching method.
