Since the 21st century, the basic education reformation has been carried out step by step in different areas in China. Some provinces where the reform is enforced ahead of time have made certain achievements. But some problems still exist. For example, many teachers still hold traditional teaching concepts and don't attach importance to the new course standard, new teaching materials and new curriculum conception. For instance, they mainly impart basic knowledge of physics under the guidance of traditional teaching ideas; they lack the cultivation of scientific inquiry experiment ability for students and the implementation of lifelong education development for students isn't put in place. As for the evaluation system, the theory is mature but isn't well applied to practice. Because of the area differences and the influence of college entrance examination, summative assessment predominates and in turn affects the change of teachers'role. New Curriculum brings us the innovation of teaching materials and the use of new course standard and new teaching materials, which make a direct impact on senior physics teaching. At the same time, it also presents a serious challenge to physics teachers, which urges us to reposition our occupational role and to change the behavior of taking the knowledge instruction as the core.This paper mainly illustrates current situation of changes of senior physics teachers'role and effective ways of the changes through research on related documents and questionnaire survey.
