This thesis is concerned on designing methods for mathematical innovative questions with the purpose of testing students'problem-solving ability. It begins with the basic characteristics of mathematical innovative testing questions based on ability-testing. The paper elaborates designing principles of such questions and emphasizes on introducing designing methods. And it concludes and analyzes numbers of typical mathematical questions in recent college entrance examinations, based on three categories of innovative questions to introduce the designing methods, especiallly attaches much importance to such testing types as opening, researching, practising questions, which proves the guiding significance of designing innovative mathematical questions. It is believed that more competent talents will get benefit from the new innovative educational methods, which is what the social development needs.
