From the psychological aspect of "personality indicates the features of culture", the research adopts Professor Lian Rong's definition of "the cultural personality of English teachers in middle schools" to study the English teachers'cultural personality in middle schools. Through the method of historical documents, interview and questionnaire, the study tries to construct the preliminary questionnaire and then confirm the structure of the Questionnaire of Cultural personality of English teachers in Middle Schools by formal investigation. Based on these, the study investigates the present situation of English teachers'cultural personality of middle schools. The results are the following.1)The preliminary Questionnaire of Cultural personality of English teachers in Middle Schools includes the following 5 factors:justice, interpersonality, independence, authoritativeness and bluntness. The exploratory factor analysis after formal investigation indicates that the questionnaire includes 4 factors:justice, interpersonality, independence and authoritativeness. These 4 factors are similar to the preliminary 5 factors. Also the fit indexes of the model indicate that it's an excellent model. The reliability and validity test of the model achieve the standard of the psychometric criterion, which can be applied for the future research.2) The results of the present situation of English teachers'cultural personality in middle schools indicates the following:①Generally, the cultural personality of English teachers in middle schools indicates the integration of Chinese and western culture. The factor of interpersonaliy shows significant characters of Chinese culture of English teachers'cultural personality in middle schools, and the characters of the other 3 indicate significant characters of western culture;②There is no significant difference between male and female teachers in the factors of justice, independence and authoritativeness, but in the factor of interpersonaliy. The male teachers have much higher marks than female;③The cultural personality hasn't influenced by the years of teaching significantly;④The cultural personality hasn't influenced by invariability of profession significantly;⑤The educational background hasn't influenced the factors of justice, interpersonality and independence significantly, but influenced the factor of authoritativeness significantly. Among them, the scores of bachelor and postgraduates' are much lower than the others;⑥There is no significant difference in the factor of justice among the teachers in different schools, but significant difference in the other 3 factors;⑦The cultural personality of town teachers have much higher scores than country teachers in independence factor, but much lower scores in authoritativeness factor. There is no significant difference in the factors of justice and interpersonality.
