In recent years, the contemporary education reform and development in our country have begun to focus on the changing of the school curriculum and teaching level. Recently the basic educational curriculum reform in our country to some extent responded to our education which is facing challenges and realistic problems. The development of economic construction calls for a higher the quality of the students'foreign language is also put forward higher request. The overall goal of English course in high school is to make the students further understand the purpose of learning English, develop autonomous learning and cooperative learning ability. The important thing is to cultivate student's capability about comprehensive application of language and form the effective English language learning strategies. The comprehensive ability of using language is based on the development of language skills, language knowledge, attitude, learning strategies, cultural awareness and so on.Language skills are an important component for the ability of language. Language knowledge is an organic part of language ability; it is also an important basis of developing language skills. The purpose of foreign language teaching is the language communication. Vocabulary teaching also should serve this purpose. The studies on vocabulary teaching provide beneficial inspirations for practice of the vocabulary teaching. In order to help students expand your vocabulary and improve the students' comprehensive abilities, taking effective and systematic method and way to teach vocabulary is necessary. This article analyzes performance of communicative approach in vocabulary teaching for teachers and students through the education practice. Based on this theory, I use questionnaire investigation and test method to study vocabulary teaching in high school of Xingtai in Hebei Province. We can find the effect of the application of communicative approach in vocabulary teaching: first, the using of communicative approach in vocabulary teaching has changed the mode of traditional teaching; it is based on students-centered teaching. Second, the using of communicative approach in vocabulary teaching is not only creating the language communication environment, but also inspiring students to exchange motivation. Third, the using of communicative approach in vocabulary teaching can exert the learner's imagination. Fourth, it can activate the teaching materials, teaching material, cultivate communicative competence and has a stronger practicability than traditional teaching method. On the basis of the result, the study further analyzes at aspects of the learner's motivation.
