The Hong Kong Buddhist Association Basketball Development Research

The Hong Kong Buddhist Association is an organisation in Hong Kong founded in 1945. It promotes Buddhism in Hong Kong with Government subsidy; the Association runs 7 primary schools. Within these 7 primary schools, basketball teams were not in well development, each school with their own training programs. These differences will affect children basketball skill in the future. Standard professional basketball training is important for children to become a basketball talent in once a day. This is an article was used literature material method, questionnaire, interview, statistics and logical analysis to got the research of The Hong Kong Buddhist Association subsidiary primary schools basketball development. To find the existing main problems, discussion of basketball countermeasures, below infer few conclusions from the facts.1. Education Department focused too much on cultural aspects cultivation. No substantial guidance systems to professional sports work and with no actual guideline to school PE teachers'work as well too. Different education resources are allocated in unreasonable place. These affect basketball development growth.2. The Hong Kong Buddhist Association was just focus on athletics, swimming, table tennis and badminton in Physical Education aspects. Thus neglected of basketball development. In the future, it should hold more intensify different types of basketball games. Encourage students participate in basketball, ascension basketball skill, and enhance students'physical and mental health.3. PE teachers with high education and weekly over workload, but in basketball development with no plan and idea on it.4. PE Teacher's teaching material content given by school the knowledge was too basic. Students interested in class Basketball's knowledge given from book was too basic. Students interested in PE class. They also devotion in class.5. Teachers always take good care to students. Badminton is the most popular and favorite sport in student's activity. After that is athletics, volleyball, table tennis, swimming…etc…Basketball isn't students favorite.6. Basketball training can arrange in proper time and it won't affect student leaning time in class. A lot of great basketball player with high education. Most of the schools used the resource from the Hong Kong Basketball Association and Leisure and Cultural Services Department support. To maintain the sustainable development of basketball.7. Parents usually focus on students'Maths, English, Chinese., but sport activites is also important for students lift, too. Campus develops too much extracurricular excluded sport activities. Therefore, it cause lick of facilities and extrusion on basketball development.
