Research Purpose:This research aims to test the validity of the Chinese version of the perceived social self-efficacy scale for in-service Staff for the first time.Method:The research contains 195 sets of subjects, all of which are from Shanghai. The Chinese version of the perceived social self-efficacy scale is tested, and confirmatory factor analysis, social anxiety, core self-evaluation and social assertiveness are used to test the construct validity. Besides, working satisfaction, job-related affective well-being, organizational behavior, working performance and social skills are used to test the criterion validity. Statistic methods including confirmative factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis.Finding Results:The Cronbach's a of the Chinese version of the perceived social self-efficacy scale is 0.938, which shows that the scale has a high level of reliability. As to the construct analysis, confirmatory factor analysis supports a single factor model of the structure, and the social self-efficacy is negatively correlated with social anxiety, positively correlated with core self-evaluation and four dimensions of social assertiveness, which represents that the scale has a good construct validity. As to criterion validity, social self-efficacy has a positive correlation with working satisfaction and social skills, and has a negative correlation with the four dimensions of job-related affective well-being. However, it has no correlation with organizational citizenship behavior or job performance. In short, the Chinese version of the perceived social self-efficacy scale has acceptable criterion validity. Conclusion:The results of reliability analysis and validity analysis both revealed that the Chinese version of the perceived social self-efficacy scale is well designed with 25 effective items.
