This research, which begins with the historical development of Chinese graduate education, is to analyze and summarize the formation and development of the relationship between mentors and postgraduates in our country via studying mentor-postgraduates relationship under various cultivation pattern for graduate education. In the initial time of graduate education, graduate education first reference apprenticeship training model, after the introduction of professional-style training model, mentor and graduate from the apprenticeship training between the model also under development as a professional mentoring relationship model-type training of students and teachers in the collective more to the teachers and students between the collective relationship between the two kinds of relationships exist. Although the interaction between tutors and students for some time and return to the mentoring relationship after the Soviet mode and under the influence of China's national conditions, but the main content of relationship between college advisor and graduate students turned into more individualism and stress on the more open to the teacher and students gradually.This study also analyze the problem and reason between China university advisor and graduate students through the way of established the relationship between teachers and students, instructors guide to students and teachers and economic relations between the teacher and students. According to this analysis, the paper combined with the summary and comparison of features in United States college tutors and graduate students to proposal the improving for local college relationship between advisor and graduate students.This study mainly uses the history and literature method. According to use the history method, obtain the more overall recognition and certainty and extract the formation and development of information about advisor and graduate students from observe the history of our graduate education development. According to use the literature method, generalize and conclude the character of United States University's relationship between teacher and students through the amount of collection and arrangement. By other's faults, wise men correct their own. This method may help us to absorb the successes and failures in United States'graduated education in order to proposal more better suggestion for our nations relationship between advisor and graduate students. This thesis contains three parts:First part is the introduction of articles, including the background, significance, literature review, research ideas and methods, research and innovation difficult, and the basic concepts defined. The rest part is the main part of the paper. Through the discussion of education in China start-up period, maturity period and the current relationship between college advisor and graduate students to summed up the relationship between university advisor and students characteristics in the United States. Further to combine with the foregoing analysis of teacher-student relationship and the characteristics of American universities put forward recommendations about relationship between China graduate University advisor and students. The sixth part is the conclusion of this research, an overview of research, summed up the feelings of the research process.
