Many studies show that for a long time, there is a gender stereotype throughout the world that men have characteristics of adamancy, self-confidence, reason and high achievement motivation while women are often sensitive, exquisite, weak and compliant. In our country's traditional culture, the gender stereotype of"a perfect match between a man and a girl"and"men tilling the farm and women weaving"is also deep-rooted. But as time passed by, with gradual desalination of the traditional view on gender, the gender conception and the behavior pattern for women and men have changed dramatically, leading to many new phenomena and problems. It is an indisputable fact that the gender division has been blurred. Moreover, masculinization and feminization have become a controversial social phenomenon worth thinking about.By using a qualitative research method and through deep interview, participant observation and documents study, the author finds out the social changes that the post-1980s college students experienced and the process of family socialization, schooling and education and self-recognition. And on this basis, this paper brings out a new multi-dimensional gender conception from the micro-level aspect. The author discovers that in breaking through the traditional gender-role expectation and absorbing the opposite gender role's advantages to the benefit of self-development, the post-1980s college students give a totally new interpretation on gender conception, including inherent thinking mode, value, self-recognition, and external way of act and individual image, etc. Finally the neutralized gender conception is widely accepted by this group of people. It will provide a useful guidance for the development of gender equity and the healthy and harmonious cultural construction of gender, promote the development of gender equity, and create favorable conditions for the construction of a polynary gender conception to explore the formation of the post-1980s college students'neutralized gender conception, explain the reason why the neutralized fashion prevails and the gender conception is neutralized among the post-1980s college students, analyze the deep social structural factors and the pluralistic cultural elements behind this phenomenon, and make clear the evolution of a new polynary gender conception brought forward by the post-1980s college students, who has overturned the traditions.
