A Study Of The Present Condition In The Somatotype Of Man Adolescent Dash Players In GanSu Province

The selection of athletes is very essential in the process of sports training, and the selection of somatotype is one of its factors. Based on the on-the-site measurement, this very thesis has measured some somatotype indexes of those adolescent dash players attending the 1 0th Session Sports Meet in Gansu. Our analyses and results show that: 1. There is some difference in somatotype, that is to say, different sports events require that there would be some difference in somatotype. 2. Even in the same event, there will be some difference in somatotype if the grade of the event is different. 3. There exists 揻avorable somatotype?in sports events. 4. Whether the value of genninal level mesoderm is large or small is closely related to the records of the athletes. 5. There is a comparative accumulation in the distribution of somatotype of those adolescent man dash plays in Gansu province. 6. Compared with those excellent man dash players in other provinces, the somatotype of above-mentioned players in Gansu has a significant difference so far as the value of the mesodermal factor in their somatotype is concerned. However, few sign is show that there exists a significant difference in those excellent players as regards the value of the mesodermal factor in their somatotype. If compared with those excellent players in other counties, either those excellent players or those excellent adolescent players in Gansu enjoy a significant difference in the value of the mesodermal factor in their somatotype 7. Indexes such as height, Quetelet, and legs , have been playing an important role in dash events,. Compared with those excellent man dash players in other provinces, the adolescent man dash players in Gansu enjoy a significant difference so far as the above-mentioned indexes are concerned. Our analyses further show that height has now become an important factor in the development of the record of those man dash players in Gansu, therefore, the selection of somatotype plays an essential role if we want to increase their record, that is to say, trainers should pay attention not only to scientific selection in somatotype, but also to the development of somatotype in training as well as everyday life so that their trainees can become a possible worldwide excellent dash player.
