A Study On The Stratificational Trend Of Chinese Urban Community

Chinese scholars?focus turning from community sevice to community development shows that the research of Chinese urban community research is not based on a deep recognizing of the communities itself. So the deep recognizing of community?s essence is not only inevitable but necessary. This paper is an attempt. Accoding to the stratum-character of the residents in communities, the paper distinguished the Same-Straum Community(SSC) from the Different-Straum Community(DSC). At the same time, the paper defined the range of the community in this study and intruduced the communities abroad. Then, the paper concluded the inevitablity of Chinese urban communities from the DSCivision, the SSC?superiorities, the blockade between the straums and the strengthen of the residents?choosing ability. Then, the paper gave the conditions and the way of the Chinese urban communities?stratiflng, that is, the widing of the people's income range, the different price dominated by the zones of the city, the merchandising and marketing policy of housing, the increasing of the social mobility. After testified by a survey research of two communities in Wuhan, the paper concluded that Chinese urban communities is stratificating, and looked into the prospect of the Chinese Same-Straum Communities in the future.
